Your home is important in so many ways. It is a place to relax, unwind and spend quality time with family and friends. It's probably also the biggest investment you'll make. Use our guide to help take the stress out of choosing a home.
Start With a List - Write down your 'must haves' and then your 'wish list'
Plan Your Budget - Ensure you factor in those extra costs.
Get financial advice - When you apply for a loan, it is a smart thing to get pre-approval; it will save you a lot of headaches later on if your offer is accepted without a loan. Pre-approvals generally last for 3 months.
When your budget and loan is completed, find a good solicitor who can tell you about things to expect and advise you on things that you may have overlooked.
Choose your location - Start inspecting houses. Use the estate agents to your advantage. We are here to help you find the right house to fit your chosen criteria.
Create a shortlist of your favourite houses
Contact your solicitor: - Once the sales contract is available, they will go through it with you and answer any of your questions and/or concerns.
Sign contracts and pay the 10% deposit
Final Inspection - Ensure that all the chattels as outlined in the contract are present and the property is in a similiar state to when you negotiated the sale.
Settlement - Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of your new home.
